It's goal is to enhance children's language and early literacy skills. The site than goes on to mention that students are given the opportunity to read and practice literacy skills in every day literacy wherever they are. The National Geographics is my personal favorite site for students. It provides grade level appropriate articles about different situations around the world. They have different programs for each month. For example, May was get caught reading month to win a prize. National Geographics teamed up with different book publishers to get prizes for children reading.
